Here are the 30 Creative Teams receiving up to £100k each to spend on R&D for ten £10m projects for delivery during 2022.  This is the application guide that set out the criteria for the project.  Festival UK 2022 team

We have added links where possible to the teams and individuals so you can better appreciate the backgrounds of those being trusted to spend £120m wisely. We have also indicated relationships with other funding sources – such as Lottery, Arts Council, University sector etc., where possible. Please advise any corrections to fuk2022watch@thefestivalofthe.uk

This information is offered on the basis of “best efforts” without warranty of any sort – if you have any corrections please email to fuk2022@thefestivalofthe.uk

Please note that festivalof.uk and thefestivalofthe.uk has no connection with Festival UK 2022 – but we do have a coherent proposal and concept for a 2022 celebration that celebrates 100 years of broadcasting – which began in Chelmsford in 1922.

As part of a broader celebration of a century of broadcasting and wireless development, we propose a “People’s Netflix Project” to locate and enable talent that can create content that can chart the UK’s return to the world as a sovereign nation – no longer beholden to Brussels – but revisiting, restoring and exploring the fundamental relationships we enjoy with Commonwealth countries and peoples.

Who remembers the BBC domesday laser disc? This seems like an opportunity to update it… we can encourage and enable the swelling ranks of video journalists (basically, anyone with current smartphone) to explore and chronicle the four nations of the United Kingdom.
